    Welcome to Tokyo! You will be greeted by an English-speaking assistant at the airport. The assistant will get you in the bus to your hotel.

    Tokyo, skytree

    TOKYO   NOV.23 (Wed)
    We start the day having breakfast in a restaurant at Tsukiji Fish Market, which is known to be the biggest fish market in the world. The Tsukiji Outer Market, known as the Jogai Shijo, is Japan's "Food Town," where one can encounter all of Japan's traditional foods. A mixture of wholesale and retail shops along with numerous restaurants line the streets, and new culinary trends are born here. Take a walk around and experience the taste of Japan first hand.
    After enjoying seafood, we head out to Oshiage. we will visit Tokyo Skytree, a broadcasting and observation tower with the height of 634 meters (2,080ft). The view of the metropolitan Tokyo area from there will be spectacular. If the sky is clear, the Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance.
    Then we proceed to Asakusa Sensoji Temple, the Five Storied Pagoda and the traditional Nakamise shopping arcade.
    We head out to the Imperial palace. The Imperial palaceis the primary residence of the Emperor of Japan. It is a large park-like area located in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo and contains buildings including the main palace, the private residences of the Imperial Family, an archive, museums and administrative offices. It is built on the site of the old Edo Castle. On the way to hotel, we drive by the Diet building.

    Lake Ashi

    TOKYO - HAKONE - Mt.FUJI - SUWA   NOV.24 (Thu)
    First stop today, we visit to Hakone, the weekend getaway from the Tokyo metropolitan area, a nature-rich resort with the beautiful Lake Ashi where we take a cruise. Also, we will take a cable car to see the splendid scenery from an observatory deck, Mt.Fuji, Gulf of Sagami and Lake Ashi.
    Our journey will continue to Lake Kawaguchi. Weather permitting you can look not only the lake but olso the magnificent view Mt.Fuji from lakeside, the highest peak in Japan, which has just become No.17 World Heritage Site in Japan. It is has been appreciated by many Japanese for ages because of its perfect conical shape.
    We then head out to Suwa for the night and have Japanese style dinner at the Ryokan and enjoy hot spring. Guest rooms with healing outside hot springs with the Shigaraki earthenware tubs, 100% natural hot spring flows into a tub at all times.

    Hotel Saginoyu stands in Kamisuwa, as an old and established hotel, which has always walked alongside Lake Suwa throughout its 100 years of history. Hotel Saginoyu was named after the story, that tired egrets had comforted themselves in the hot springs.

    Day4
    Hida Takayama

    SUWA--MATSUMOTO--TAKAYAMA   NOV.25 (Fri)
    We will head to Takayama with some side trips along the way. First stop is Matsumoto castle. This castle is one of the very few original castle that were kept intact and never destroyed. Also it's unipue black coloring gave its nickname karasu-jo, the Crow Castle. It's one of three must see castel in Japan and ranked on the top 100 in the world castle.
    We will continue to drive for Takayama. We will drive through mountainous area,Japan Alps. You will see beautiful and magnificent spectacles.
    Takayama is famous for its old town which has preserved buildings and houses since the Edo Period. We walk around old town in Takayama. We stay in Takayama tonight.

    TAKAYAMA-SHIRAKAWAGO-KYOTO   NOV.26 (Sat)
    Takayama, or as some people call it “Little Kyoto,” has many areas where homes and shops are more than 300 years old and well preserved. The morning market is also located in that area and we will explore many vendors and activities. Takayama Jinya is a great example of Edo architecture, having actually served as the local government office, headed by the officials dispatched from Edo. We stay in Takayama.
    We will continue to a small farming community of Shirakawago. It’s declared an UNESCO world heritage site where the old traditional farm homes, gassho-zukuri, are preserved to maintain the beauty of the scenery.
    In the evening we will reach our destination to Kyoto. You will be taken to Gion “Geisha district” Those who have seen “Memoirs of Geisha” will be fascinated by its shooting spots.

    Japan New Year Tour 2015

    KYOTO-NARA   NOV.27 (Sun)
    We start the day in Kyoto, the heart of Japanese tradition. You will feel that you have time slipped into the world one thousand year ago, when visiting Kiyomizu temple. Kiyomizu temple is known as there is not a single nail used in the entire structure.

    , this beautifully constructed shrine are well balance with nature maintaining a Japanese and Zen Garden with a Bamboo Forest..
    The next stop in Kyoto, it is Fushimi inari shrine, famous for its thousands of red torii gates. It is known best place of the Japanese sightseeing spot that the foreigner chooses.
    Then we proceed to Tea Ceremony at Kodaiji temple. Japanese tea ceremony, called Sado or Cha-no-yu, has more than 400 years of history, the most elevated way to fully enjoy a bowl of tea. Spiritually and physically, we would like you to feel the air as well. It will be unforgettable experience. Kodaiji Temple, this beautifully constructed shrine is well balance with nature maintaining a Japanese and Zen Garden with a Bamboo Forest.
    The temple is also known for its colored autumn leaves, and the site is illuminated at night. Please enjoy fantastic scenery.

    It is located right next to Nishi Honganji (temple, World Heritage).
    It is good idea to take walk to Nishi Honganji to see peace morning atmosphere (no entrance fee). Also, they have shuttle bus service to Kyoto station. Please enjoy having dinner aroud there.

    Todaiji Buddha

    NARA-OSAKA   NOV.28 (Mon)
    Visiting the ancient capital of Japan is a must in your tour. You will be greeted with cute deer vowing to you around Todaiji temple at Nara. You will feel sacred when looking up the huge Buddha statue made in 8th century. We can’t miss more places to visit, Horyuji-Temple, the oldest Temple in Japan and Chuguji Temple where there is a most beautiful Buddha statue in Japan.

    Osaka was the commercial center in the samurai period, developed around invincible Osaka Castle. The top of this 7 story building commands great views of the city of Osaka, the castle being surrounded by the walls of huge stones and moats. We stay at a hotel in Osaka for the night.
