Furano

Furano is town in the center of Hokkaido, known for their pleasant and picturesque rural landscapes and it belongs to Furano-Ashibetsu Nature Park.

Because of its geographical position, Furano has a unique nickname of "the navel town."

Furano's natural beauty can be appreciated throughout the seasons of the year.

Many people visit the lavender field in summer when the lavender bloom is at its best.

The best time to visit is July, when the lavender fields are in bloom. During winter, Furano turns into a popular downhill and cross country skiing resort.

You can also enjoy outdoor activities in Furano all year round such as rafting trip and hot-air balloon flights, and the nearby Kita-no-Mine is a popular ski resort in winter.
