Takayama festival is considered to be one of the three most beautiful festivals in Japan. Their huge floats are paraded all day and night with mechanical puppet shows, brilliant color paper machete, and lanterns. You can see not only historicalsights also new Otaku culture.

Day1

NARITA-TOKYO

Welcome to Tokyo! You will be greeted by an English-speaking assistant at the airport. The assistant will get you in the bus to your hotel.

Day2
Tokyo, skytree

TOKYO

We start the day having breakfast in a restaurant at Tsukiji Fish Market, which is known to be the biggest fish market in the world. After enjoying seafood, we head out to the Imperial palace and drive around it. Then to Oshiage. we will visit Tokyo Skytree, a broadcasting and observation tower with the height of 634 meters (2,080ft). The view of the metropolitan Tokyo area from there will be spectacular. If the sky is clear, the Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance. Then, drive to Shibuya and enjoy busiest intersection in the world.

TOKYO

The second day, we will show and visit new and kawaii sight in Tokyo. Visitting Studio Ghibli, the musium one of most famous animated cartoon in Japan. You must feel kawaii there!
Then to Akihabara, the electronic district and the mecca for the anime (Japanese cartoon characters), there we will visit one of “maid cafes”, where you will be served by waitress dressed in maid costumes.

TOKYO-HAKONE-MT.FUJI-SUWA

This is the day when we visit the highest peak in Japan, which has just become No.17 World Heritage Site in Japan. It is has been appreciated by many Japanese for ages because of its perfect conical shape. Weather permitting, we will go as high as the 5th step by bus to have a great view from above.

Our journey will continue to Hakone, the weekend getaway from the Tokyo metropolitan area, a nature-rich resort with the beautiful Lake Ashi where we take a cruise. Also, we will take a cable car to see the volcanic activity area in Owakudani hot springs.

We then head out to Suwa for the night and have Japanese style dinner at the Ryokan and enjoy hot spring.

SUWA--MATSUMOTO--JAPAN ALPS--TAKAYAMA

We will head to Takayama with some side trips along the way. First stop is Matsumoto castel. This castel is one of the very few original castel that were kept intact and never destroyed. Also it's unipue black coloring gave its nickname karasu-jo, the Crow Castel. It's one of three must see castel in Japan and ranked on the top 100 in the world castel.

We will continue to drive for Takayama. We will drive through mountainous area, Japan Alps. You will see beautiful and magnificent spectacles. We stay in Takayama for the night and Enjoy Takayama night festival.

TAKAYAMA-SHIRAKAWAGO-KYOTO

Takayama festival's day !! Takayama, or as some people call it “little Kyoto,” has many areas where homes and shops are more than 300 years old and well preserved. The morning market is also located in that area and we will explore many vendors and activities.

We will continue to a small farming community of Shirakawago. It’s declared an UNESCO world heritage site where the old traditional farm homes, gassho-zukuri, are preserved to maintain the beauty of the scenery.

In the evening we will reach our destination to Kyoto. You will be taken to Gion “Geisha district” Those who have seen “Memoirs of Geisha” will be fascinated by its shooting spots. We stay in Kyoto for the night.

KYOTO-NARA

We start the day in Kyoto, the heart of Japanese tradition. You will feel that you have time slipped into the world one thousand year ago, when visiting Kiyomizu temple and Golden Pavilion. Kodaiji Temple, this beautifully constructed shrine is well balance with nature maintaining a Japanese and Zen Garden with a Bamboo Forest. It is this location overlooking the scenery that you will be taking lessons in Japanese Tea Ceremony. Continue to drive to Nara and stay for the night.

Takayama Festival Day6

NARA-OSAKA

Visiting the ancient capital of Japan is a must in your tour. You will be greeted with cute deer vowing to you around Todaiji temple at Nara. You will feel sacred when looking up the huge Buddha statue made in 8th century.

We can’t miss more places to visit, Horyuji Temple and Chuguji Temple. Horyuji is the oldest wooden architect in the world with 1,400 years history. At Chuguji, there is a most beautiful Buddha statue in Japan.

Osaka was the commercial center in the samurai period, developed around invincible Osaka Castle. The top of this 7 story building commands great views of the city of Osaka, the castle being surrounded by the walls of huge stones and moats. We stay at a hotel in Osaka for the night.

OSAKA-KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Time to get back home with unforgettable memory and lots of souvenir.Leaveing for Kansai International Airport by Hotel shattle.Return by air.
